Friday Evening September 19, 2003 at 7:30 PM in the Kellogg Center Auditorium   at Michigan State University, The Institute for the Study of Christianity and   Culture presents a lecture by Professor Philip Jenkins

Globally - Shall The Fundamentalists Win?

Christianity is currently enjoying a historical upsurge across most of the global South, but in   many cases, the most successful churches seem to belong to the fundamentalist or   charismatic end of the spectrum. Is this the inevitable direction that Christianity will take in   the coming century? Or will the newer churches shortly be dealing with the kind of diversity   and controversy so familiar to modern Americans?

The talk will be followed by an audience question and answer session moderated by Amy  DeRogatis, Michigan State University, Department of Religious Studies.
